Global Regulatory Services (GRS) is an award-winning regulatory and quality compliance consultancy headquartered in North Cambridge (UK) with a European entity established in Galway (Ireland). Our Team consists of in-house specialists supported by a well-established, world-wide network of associate consultants.

The fundamental goal for GRS is to work closely with businesses, academia, associations, trade bodies, regulators and governments to establish and support a Cannabis Industry which has quality and regulatory compliance at its very heart thereby ensuring that only safe, high quality and effective products are made available to patients and consumers.

As a trusted partner for regulatory and quality compliance, GRS offers decades of experience in global regulatory frameworks, including an in-depth understanding of the requirements applicable to Cannabis and its extracts. We provide customisable service levels tailored to suit the specific needs and budgets of our clients, ensuring a solution that works best for them.

GRS’s first client nearly 20 years ago developed a Cannabis extract for use as an Active Substance and later a ‘Specials’ medicine. It has taken until now for medicinal Cannabis to really gain traction and GRS has been an integral part of this journey. Over the past decade GRS has been intimately involved in the development of Cannabis and its extracts throughout the life science industry including:

  • medicines;
  • medical devices;
  • drug-delivery devices;
  • foods/novel foods;
  • cosmetics; and
  • consumer products

Our Team includes a specialist who was pivotal in spearheading the development of an unmatched overseas GACP and EU GMP cultivation and extraction facility eventually valued at £30M. We also have a highly experienced and well-connected specialist in the distribution of controlled drugs (and other less regulated products) who excels at the practical implementation of Good Distribution Practice (GDP).

GRS is well respected by key regulatory authorities around the World, including the UK MHRA, UK Food Standards Agency (FSA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA). Legal firms throughout the World are in frequent contact seeking guidance and opinion from the GRS Team. With these connections and intimate knowledge of this sector, GRS is well placed to represent and advise Cannabis organisations throughout the entire pathway to commercialisation.

When working with GRS, organisations will benefit from dedicated regulatory specialists who provide personalised guidance throughout the compliance journey, ensuring seamless communication and support. Additionally, our strong connections with regulatory authorities and market surveillance bodies enable us to streamline the regulatory process and address any challenges effectively.
