CIC Networking & Collaboration Pillar 2 – 2026 Updates
In 2026, the Cannabis Industry Council significantly expanded its events and networking programme through our Networking & Events Pillar (Pillar 2), reinforcing our role as the leading convening body for the UK cannabis sector. Through a carefully curated series of newly established CIC Socials, Masterclasses and flagship gatherings, the CIC has created meaningful opportunities for its members, stakeholders, policymakers and industry leaders to connect, collaborate and shape the future of the industry together.
Pillar 2 2026 activity commenced with our inaugural CIC Social on 6th February at The Light Bar in Shoreditch, bringing together professionals from across the medical cannabis, hemp, CBD, and wider cannabis ecosystem in a relaxed and engaging networking environment. Building on this momentum, the CIC hosted an expert-led Masterclass at Irwin Mitchell in April, providing members with practical insights, regulatory guidance, and access to specialist expertise. The CIC then hosted our second successful CIC Social at the end of April at The Light Bar in Shoreditch, welcoming CIC members and guests alike.
This activity continues with the CIC’s combined Annual General Meeting, Masterclass, and Networking Social event at Fieldfisher on 27th May, designed to further strengthen member engagement while encouraging cross-sector dialogue and professional development. The CIC’s 2026 events calendar will continue to feature our remaining Social and MasterClass events taking place throughout the rest of the year. The CIC will wrap up 2026 with the sector’s premier celebration of achievement and innovation, the 2026 Cannabis Industry Awards, taking place at the historic HAC on 11th November. This event will recognize excellence across the UK cannabis landscape and elevate the industry’s national profile.
Through Pillar 2 activity, the CIC aims to:
- Strengthen relationships across the UK cannabis ecosystem by fostering meaningful, in-person connections between businesses, investors, clinicians, policymakers, and advocates.
- Position the CIC as the central hub for in person and online industry collaboration, thought leadership, and professional engagement.
- Provide CIC members and esteemed guests with access to expert education and practical insights through high-value masterclasses and discussions.
- Create opportunities for partnership development, business growth, and cross-sector collaboration.
- Celebrate innovation, leadership, and best practice across the cannabis industry through our annual industry awards events.
- Enhance the UK cannabis sector’s credibility and visibility by hosting professional, high-profile gatherings that showcase the industry’s progress and potential.
By continuing to invest in high-quality networking and educational experiences, the CIC remains a driving force for collaboration, advocacy, and excellence within the evolving UK cannabis industry.
